Our house guests can look over the shoulder of shepherd Uwe Storm when the Heidschnucken leave the sheep shed in the morning and return in the evening.

In the months of August and September, the VNP offers the guided tour “Around the Tütsberg”, which starts with a visit to our Heidschnucken. For more info, please contact our reception.

Adventure trail “Tütsberger Erlebnispunkte”

Around the Tütsberg and on the farm area you will find our adventure trail “Tütsberger Erlebnispunkte”.

Here you can find information about our flock of Heidschnucken, the farmyard grove and the history of Hof Tütsberg.

In the courtyard, you should also visit the cereal hit parade.

The “Tütsberger Erlebnispunkte” were supported in 2010 with funds from the European Regional Development Fund as well as from “Experience Nature” of the Lower Saxony Ministry for the Environment and Climate Protection.

Active nature experiences

Discover a unique landscape with semi-open heathland on some 700 km of hiking trails. The area can be visited on foot, by bicycle, on horseback or in carriages, which are waiting for visitors at the large car parks. To protect the landscape as well as the flora and fauna, private cars are not allowed in the nature reserve.

The vastness and tranquillity of the landscape invite contemplation and relaxation. No wonder the Lüneburg Heath is better known than the state of Lower Saxony – it is an extraordinary landscape.

By car you can reach the hikers’ parking lot from the A 7 exit 43a Schneverdingen via the B 3 and the K 44. Hof Tütsberg is not connected to the public transport system.

During the season from July 15 to October 15, however, the bus stop “Oberhaverbeck” can be reached with the free “Heideshuttle” from Schneverdingen train station and the “Heideschleife Tütsberg” can also be started from Oberhaverbeck.

The “Heideschleife Tütsberg” is 11.9 km long. The trail runs on car-free field and hiking paths. Most of the sections are flat.

Smaller “mountain passages” lead to the 104-meter-high Wümmeberg and its counterpart, the 108-meter-high Suhorn. The northern flank of the 117-meter-high Tütsberg is also a comparatively steep tour for northern Germany!

Refreshment stops at the “Heideschleife Tütsberg” are located in Niederhaverbeck (with a small detour), directly at the “Heideschleife” in Oberhaverbeck and at the start and finish point Hof Tütsberg.

Regularly maintained and TÜV-approved carriages will be waiting for you at the large car parks in Niederhaverbeck and Oberhaverbeck, as well as Undeloh and Döhle.

Get to know the charming landscape around the Wilseder Berg. In the Lueneburg Heath, your excursion will be an unforgettable experience. Folding roofs and transparent sides make the carriage tours independent of the weather.

For more information, see Carriage rides in the Lüneburg Heath (in German, only).

In addition to the official carriage parking areas, we can recommend a carriage company for a ride starting directly from our hotel. Just ask at reception.
